At PIAZR PTY LTD (operating Trip Assistant), we want you to be completely satisfied with your subscription. This Refund Policy explains how we handle refund requests.
1. 30-Day Money-Back Guarantee
We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee for first-time subscribers to paid plans (Explorer, Traveler, or Pro).
Eligibility:
- You are a first-time subscriber to a paid plan
- You request a refund within 30 days of your initial purchase
- Your account has not been flagged for abuse or policy violations
How to Request:
Email support@gouncover.com with:
- Your account email address
- Subscription tier purchased
- Date of purchase
- Reason for refund (optional but helpful)
Processing:
- Refunds are processed within 5-7 business days
- Refund is issued to your original payment method via Paddle.com
- Your subscription is immediately canceled upon refund approval
- You will receive a confirmation email when the refund is processed
2. Free Trial Period
All paid plans include a 14-day free trial. During the trial:
- You have full access to all features of your chosen tier
- You can cancel anytime before the trial ends with no charge
- If you don't cancel, you'll be charged automatically after the trial ends
- The 30-day money-back guarantee begins on the date of your first paid charge (after trial ends)
Canceling During Trial:
To cancel during your free trial:
- Go to Account → Subscription
- Click "Cancel Subscription"
- Confirm cancellation
You will retain access until the trial ends, and you will not be charged.
3. Renewal Refunds
For subscription renewals (after your first billing period):
- No refunds are provided for renewal charges
- You may cancel at any time to prevent future charges
- Cancellations take effect at the end of your current billing period
- You retain access to paid features until the end of your billing period
Exception:
If you were charged in error (duplicate charge, billing after cancellation), we will issue a full refund. Contact support immediately if you notice an incorrect charge.
4. Partial Refunds
We do not provide partial refunds for:
- Unused days in your billing period
- Unused trip credits
- Downgrading to a lower tier mid-period
- Marketplace purchases (see Marketplace Policy below)
5. Annual Subscriptions
The 30-day money-back guarantee applies to annual subscriptions as well:
- Request a refund within 30 days of purchase for a full refund
- After 30 days, no refunds are provided for the remaining months
- You may cancel to prevent the next year's renewal
6. Marketplace Purchases
Trip templates purchased from the marketplace have different refund rules:
Eligible for Refund:
- Template is significantly different from description
- Template is non-functional or contains major errors
- Template was purchased in error (within 48 hours)
Not Eligible for Refund:
- You changed your mind after viewing the template
- You found a better alternative elsewhere
- You've already used or modified the template
Marketplace refund requests should be sent to marketplace@gouncover.com within 7 days of purchase.
7. Abuse of Refund Policy
We reserve the right to deny refunds if we detect abuse patterns:
- Multiple subscriptions and refund requests from the same user
- Requesting refunds after extensive use of the Service
- Requesting refunds to avoid payment for legitimate usage
Accounts flagged for refund abuse may be permanently banned from the Service.
8. Payment Failures
If your payment fails during renewal:
- We will retry the charge up to 3 times over 10 days
- Your subscription will be paused (you'll lose access to paid features)
- If payment continues to fail, your subscription will be canceled
- No refund is owed for time when payment was pending
Update your payment method in Account → Subscription to avoid service interruption.
9. Chargebacks
If you dispute a charge with your bank (chargeback) instead of contacting us:
- Your account will be immediately suspended
- We will provide transaction records to your bank
- If the chargeback is resolved in our favor, you will be liable for the charge plus fees
- Fraudulent chargebacks may result in legal action
Please contact us first before initiating a chargeback. We're here to help resolve any billing issues.
10. Taxes and Fees
Refunds include the full amount you paid, including any applicable taxes:
- VAT (Value Added Tax) for EU customers
- GST (Goods and Services Tax) for Australia, India, etc.
- Sales tax for US customers
Paddle.com handles all tax calculations and refunds automatically.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Material changes will be communicated via email.
